A female cardinal was chirping away outside my window. I saw a male cardinal at a distance. I guess she was singing for him??

It's been raining everyday. Therefore, it's gotten quite humid in the city. The result? Mushrooms!! There are all kinds of mushrooms popping up everywhere in the park these days.

There were quite a few "serious" birdwatchers in the park today. I wonder more birds come out after a big storm like the one we had yesterday. The thunder I heard yesterday was the loudest EVER!!

Although I'm not an avid birdwatcher or anything, I was able to capture some birds. There were more but they keep flying or moving...

We saw a couple of Mourning Doves in the park today. They have a very distinctive call (sounds like it's mourning).

According to the forecast, it's going to get very cold, rainy and windy. Wonderful... Just as all those flowers started blooming. I guess we were just lucky today!

The most viewed photo in my blog is the picture of a raccoon in Central Park. It's been more than a year since we "met". I secretly (!?) named him -- Moe. During the past year, he's moved around, escaped the glare of a crazy lady, etc. He came back to his old nest. Does he look a bit older? I wonder how long they live in general?
